It’s amazing how many Christians want to be DEEP.
I think DEEP just means “say something to confuse me”
People want DEEP churches.
DEEP music.
DEEP sermons.
Why??
I personally think that there are bigger needs that churches need to address.
Like….
How do I stay married without killing my spouse?
What do I do when my kids are driving me to drink?
I feel lonely. I know he’s married, but…
Tithe? I can hardly go shopping on the weekend.
It’s nothing wrong with furthering your biblical knowledge.
I just want to see families stay together, people not suffering in debt and women not selling themselves out to the lies that the devil spews.
DEEP? maybe not.
I just want people to have LIFE

Living a successful life means having a spirit of cooperation vs. a spirit of competition
My kids getting good grades doesn’t mean as much if my next-door neighbors kids are flunking.
My wife and I enjoying our marriage is even more fun when our friends are not going to divorce court.
I don’t believe that success can really be achieved on an island by yourself.
We need each other, so stop acting like I’m the enemy.
Your enemy may be debt.
Misconceptions.
Abuse.
Lack of self-esteem.
It’s not me.
I believe that we were all put on this earth by God to link up with others on our journey through life.
So, if I have a friend who needs encouragement planting a church in Texas…I’m all over it!!
Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you don’t need anybody….you do!!
And just as important…they need you too!!

My post yesterday is still rattling in my head.
I want to see the next generation succeed in life.
Heck, I’d like to see my generation succeed in life.
I want to see a culture of success in my city and in my world.
Not just people with fancy cars and big houses.
Not just those with titles and positions.
Not just those born into prominent families.
Those who will bless those who can’t return the favor.
Those who will humble themselves.
Those who will leave a legacy to be admired.
That’s success

It’s interesting how society wants to throw away kids who really need another chance (especially minority children).
It seems like it’s easier for some school districts to retain children than to take the time to recognize the needs each child has.
We have a responsibility to grow the next generation of leaders.
We should be setting the stage for this next generation to take their places in the world.
I want my children and everyone else’s children to know that there is a God who loves them and He has created them to dominate in this world.
No matter what statistics and school administrators say, greatness is inside every child.
With the right guidance and inspiration, it will come out!!
