turning the world to Christ

make a difference

Posted by dturn on December 13, 2006

It’s amazing to note that Sunday mornings are still he most segregated time in our country. We can work together, play sports together and eat together but we can’t celebrate Jesus together.

The sometimes invisible lines of racism are evident in many cities across America. There are subtle reminders that we aren’t too far from life in the 60’s.

There needs to be a movement that brings together all of God’s people to show the world that we have the answer on being diverse yet loving and happy. We can’t be afraid to mingle with someone of a different race or nationality. The color of our skin is not as important as the condition of our hearts.

If you are in the midwest (Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana) and you want to hook up on this topic, email me at dturn@sbcglobal.net .

  1. David-

I am with you man. This is a very disturbing thing for me to see within our churches. I wish was closer to you, I would love to hook up with you and connect and discuss this topic further. I believe this is something that needs to be addressed with in our “Communities” of faith, it needs to represent our communities.

    Blessings,
    Chris
