The Cross: Grounds for Dismissal

Posted by dturn on January 3, 2007

One of the most wonderful things I have come to find out about God is His mercy and forgiveness.

All of our issues, sins, problems, concerns, diseases, afflictions and crap were dealt with at the cross.
There was no way for a sinful bunch of people like us to free ourselves from a prison of hell.
As a matter of fact, we were all born in sin and no matter how many good acts we did, we could never be good enough to free ourselves.

If this was a trial, all the evidence would be against us. There would be witness after witness to testify that we did not deserve to be forgiven.
We were all guilty of being sinners and we were doomed to hell (eternity without God).
Jesus in His compassion and mercy, decided to sacrifice Himself to pay the penalty for our sins.
What He did at the cross removed the charges against us.

Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking that God doesn’t love you and He won’t forgive you.

Jesus came into this world to save us, not condemn us (John 3:17).

Bring all your baggage to the cross and watch God dismiss all the charges against you.
