As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s breaking baseballs color line, let us who are Christ followers strive to remove the barriers that still exist in our nation.

Even in the church, we have created separate camps where we have made ourselves comfortable.
No need to go elsewhere to have a visit from God.

Actually, most of us think we have cornered the market on how to praise and worship God.

I know I sound pretty sarcastic. It’s just that I think that we all would be better off taking the time to understand each other.
We would see that we are not that different and the differences that do exist are not more important than the love of God that is supposed to be working in our lives.

Its time to get real.

We know a lot about Hebrew and Greek, but can we love someone who is a different color, or from a different country, or maybe from a different denomination?

What Jackie Robinson did was great for baseball and our nation.

What we have to do will be great for a lifetime.

Batter up.
