turning the world to Christ

50 day challenge (day 13)

Acts 5:1-11

Ananias and Sophia committed a sin by lying to God and to God’s people.
They could have held back part of their money and it would not have been a problem.
Satan comes to tempt people and cause them to stumble away from God’s grace.
We should not be dishonest or greedy. These things will destroy our lives.
When the church found out about the deaths of Ananias and Sophia, they realized how serious God takes sin in the church.

God, let us never forget how serious sin is and it’s consequences.
Let us not take lightly your grace and your mercy.
We know that Satan comes to destroy us, to keep us from the best that You have to offer.
We do not fear him but we recognize his tactics.
Give us wisdom to stand against him and defeat him just as You already have.
